Newark, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - Adam Larsson scored the game-winner late in the second and Jaromir Jagr added a pair of insurance tallies in the third, as the New Jersey Devils downed the Pittsburgh Penguins, 4-1, on Saturday at Prudential Center.

Andy Greene opened the scoring in the first and Dainius Zubrus notched a pair of assists for the Devils, who have won three of their last four games.

Martin Brodeur stopped 27-of-28 shots in the triumph.

"We played well," Brodeur said. "We weathered the storm in the first. They were on us a lot, but I thought after that we took over the game a little bit."

Chris Kunitz potted the lone Pittsburgh goal, while Marc-Andre Fleury allowed three goals on 21 shots for the Penguins, who have lost four of their last five games.

"We had our fair amount of chances, especially early on, we had some pretty good looks and didn't score," Pittsburgh captain Sidney Crosby said. "We have to find a way to bare down and get those goals."

With the game tied 1-1 late in the second, Larsson picked the perfect time to notch his first goal of the season, as he glided into the left circle before handcuffing Fleury with a wicked wrister that made it 2-1 at 18:22.

The Devils killed off a pair of power plays early in the third thanks to some key saves from Brodeur before Jagr scored twice in the final six minutes of the game to seal the outcome.

Jagr's first of the night came off a Pittsburgh turnover, as Zubrus stole the disc deep in the Penguins' zone before Jagr beat Fleury glove-side with a wrister from the slot for a 3-1 lead at 14:06.

Jagr added an empty-netter at 18:43 to account for the final margin.

Greene got the Devils on the board with 18.4 seconds left in the first when his shot from outside the left circle snuck through Fleury, but Kunitz countered with his ninth of the season early in the second to even the score.

With New Jersey working in the Pittsburgh zone, Marek Zidlicky had a pass slip under his stick at the right point, and the speedy Kunitz was able to win a race to the disc to set up a breakaway.

Brodeur came out to challenge Kunitz and got a piece of the puck with a poke- check, but the disc knuckled high in the air and found the back of the net to tie the game at 4:18.

Game Notes

Pittsburgh went 0-for-4 on the power play, while New Jersey finished 0-for-3 on the man advantage ... Jagr as a team-high seven goals on the season ... Both teams play against Anaheim their next time out, with Pittsburgh hosting the Ducks on Monday before the Devils play in Anaheim on Wednesday.
