Hot12/16/2014 10:41:00 PM
Description: Blues goalie Jake Allen continued his hot streak with another victory on Tuesday.
Insight: Since getting pulled for Martin Brodeur on Dec. 6, Allen has won his last three starts. He stopped 21-of-23 shots against the Kings on Tuesday. Allen is 11-3-1 this season.

12/14/2014 10:35:00 AM
Description: Blues goalie Jake Allen had his best game of the month on Saturday.
Insight: Allen has struggled since Brian Elliott went down with an injury and Martin Brodeur joined the team, so it was nice for him to play well in a victory. Allen made 23 saves on 25 shots as the Blues won, 3-2, in overtime.

12/10/2014 3:38:00 PM
Description: Blues goalie Jake Allen will start on Thursday against the Islanders.
Insight: Martin Brodeur has won the past two games for the Blues, including the last matchup with the Islanders where Allen allowed three goals in the first period. Allen will be looking to rebound Wednesday.

12/6/2014 2:31:00 PM
Description: Blues goalie Jake Allen had another bad start and this time, the Blues replaced him with Martin Brodeur at the beginning of the second period.
Insight: Allen has allowed seven goals in four periods since the Blues signed Brodeur. The future Hall-of-Famer is worth adding in deep leagues although his value is only for the short-term at the moment.

12/3/2014 10:45:00 PM
Description: Blues goalie Jake Allen had a terrible third period, allowing three goals as St. Louis lost to Chicago, 4-1.
Insight: The game was tied 1-1 between the two Central Division rivals going into the third period. However, Allen and the Blues allowed three goals in the first six minutes, including two to Patrick Kane. Allen finished with 29 saves on 33 shots in the loss.

11/26/2014 9:34:00 AM
Description: Blues goalie Jake Allen had a bad game in relief of starter Brian Elliott.
Insight: Allen replaced Elliott, who suffered a lower-body injury, and allowed two third-period goals as the Senators cameback and won in a shootout, 3-2. Allen stopped just 15-of-17 shots. After posting back-to-back shutouts, Allen has a save percentage of .891 in his last five games. Despite his hot streaking officially ending, Allen is a must-own until fantasy owners know the seriousness of Elliott's injury.

Hot11/12/2014 3:23:00 PM
Description: Blues goalie Jake Allen wil start on Thursday against the Predators.
Insight: Allen is on some hot streak. He has won his last three starts and four of his last five, including two shutouts over that span. Allen has a .944 save percentage and 1.40 GAA.

11/6/2014 10:41:00 PM
Description: Blues goalie Jake Allen was less than five minutes from his third straight shutout when the game began to turn on him.
Insight: St. Louis led, 3-0, when Michael Ryder scored for New Jersey to make the lead, 3-1. David Backes scored, and the game appeared to be over with a three-goal lead and under three minutes to go. New Jersey scored two more times to make things interesting, but Allen won his fourth game of the season. He made 24 saves in the game.

11/4/2014 10:24:00 PM
Description: Blues goalie Jake Allen earned his second shutout of the season on Tuesday.
Insight: He beat New Jersey 1-0, stopping all 26 shots, and if Allen continues to play like this, he will give Brian Elliott a rest more often.

10/30/2014 10:33:00 PM
Description: Blues goalie Jake Allen pitched a shutout during his third start of the season, against the Ducks.
Insight: It was a nice outing for Allen, who stopped all 24 shots he faced, giving St. Louis reason to possibly give him the nod next time out.

10/18/2014 1:59:00 PM
Description: Blues goalie Jake Allen will get his first start of the season against Arizona on Saturday night.
Insight: This is just a start to keep Allen fresh. Goalie Brian Elliot is in no danger of losing his starting gig.

3/31/2013 5:30:00 PM
Description: The Blues sent Jake Allen to the minors on Saturday, leaving Jaroslav Halak and Brian Elliot as the two netminders on the team.
Insight: Allen was called up in March when Halak was struggling and went 5-0 with one shutout in his first five starts of the month. However, Halak has played better and Elliot is ready to return after being exiled for allowing 23 goals in his last 286 minutes (4.83 GAA).

Hot3/26/2013 6:12:00 PM
Description: Blues goaltender Jake Allen will start Tuesday's game against Edmonton.
Insight: This will be Allen's first appearance since March 19. He is 8-2-0 with a 2.26 GAA and .915 SV% this season but his starts will be limited with Jaroslav Halak still in the picture.

Hot3/19/2013 6:19:00 PM
Description: Blues goaltender Jake Allen will make his fourth straight start Tuesday against Vancouver.
Insight: Allen has won five straight starts and eight of nine this season while posting a 2.19 GAA and .920 SV%. The team has handed him the goaltending reigns for now in place of Jaroslav Halak while it tries to hold onto a playoff spot.

Hot3/15/2013 9:33:00 PM
Description: Blues goaltender Jake Allen will start Saturday against the Ducks.
Insight: Allen has won all four starts since being recalled and shut out Phoenix Thursday. The rookie will continue to start as long as he's winning.

3/14/2013 4:29:00 PM
Description: Blues goaltender Jake Allen, who has won three straight starts since being recalled from the minors, will start Thursday's game against the Coyotes.
Insight: Allen is 6-1-0 with a 2.63 GAA overall and he has taken over primary goaltending duties in the short-term with Jaroslav Halak slumping and Brian Elliot indefinitely parked on the bench.

3/12/2013 6:18:00 PM
Description: Jake Allen will draw another start in goal for St. Louis Tuesday against the Sharks.
Insight: Allen has won two straight starts since being recalled from the minors despite allowing three goals in both and Jaroslav Halak lost to the Ducks Sunday. We could see Allen continue to get two-thirds of the starts if he plays well again Tuesday.

3/7/2013 5:32:00 PM
Description: The Blues will start Jake Allen in goal Thursday against the Coyotes.
Insight: Allen (3-1, 2.62 GAA, .895 SV%) was recalled Wednesday after Jaroslav Halak blew a 4-1 lead Tuesday night. Brian Elliot's struggles have made it necessary to call up Allen when Halak is also having issues in net. St. Louis has allowed the fewest SOG per game so this is a favorable situation for goaltenders if anyone can take control.

2/19/2013 12:03:00 PM
Description: St. Louis backup goaltender Jake Allen will start in net for Jaroslav Halak, according to a report from Jeremy Rutherford, beat writer for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Insight: Allen has proven to be a respectable backup going 3-0-0 with a 2.76 GAA and .888 save percentage.

2/19/2013 11:58:00 AM
Description: St. Louis backup goaltender Jake Allen could another start in net if starter Jaroslav Halak isn't 100 percent. This will likely be a game-time decision.
Insight: Allen has proven to be a respectable backup going 3-0-0 with a 2.76 GAA and .888 save percentage.
