Insight: Selanne underwent knee surgery during the offseason, so he needed most of the summer to determine whether he would be 100 percent for the upcoming season. He seems to have a lot left in the tank, considering that he finished eighth in league scoring last season with 80 points, the third-best season in league history for a player 40 or over.

Insight: Selanne is also recovering from a knee injury, which is likely factoring into his decision. Keeper leaguers should probably look in another direction if deciding whether to keep Selanne. However, he could turn out to be a great value pick in fantasy leagues again this season, but fantasy owners will need to hold off on making any long-term plans until he makes his decision.
