Description: Colorado forward Maxime Talbot missed Wednesday's game to be with his pregnant fiancee, but is expected to return for Friday's contest with Phoenix.
Insight: Talbot is mostly used as a penalty killer and has 19 points in 58 games, and he's pointless in his last five contests. Fantasy owners have no use for him.

Description: Comcast Philadelphia reports that Flyers center Maxime Talbot will be sidelined indefinitely because of a broken left leg.
Insight: We're guessing Talbot has played his final game of the 2013 campaign. It's probably safe to drop Talbot (five goals, five assists in 35 games) from all fantasy leagues.

Description: Talbot scored his first goal of the season on Wednesday against the Maple Leafs.
Insight: Talbot is seeing around 13-14 minutes of playing time a game this year so far and got on the score sheet for the first time. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: Max Talbot used a derogatory term to describe Alex Ovechkin during a radio interview promoting the 2011 Winter Classic. TSN
Insight: Talbot was referring to last season's NHL awards, when teammate Evgeni Malkin introduced Talbot to Ovechkin. Ovechkin probably doesn't need any more bulletin board material to motivate him, as he already has his own rivalries with Malkin and Sidney Crosby.
