Buffalo Sabres (6-20-1) at New Jersey Devils (10-11-5), 7 p.m.

(SportsNetwork.com) - The New Jersey Devils and Buffalo Sabres sure did enjoy each other's company a season ago.

After going past regulation in all three meetings during the lockout-shortened campaign, the Devils and Sabres clash for the first time in 2013-14 on Saturday night.

The Sabres have won six of the past 10 meetings overall, taking both home encounters a season ago. Both victories came in a shootout, while the Devils won the only contest in New Jersey, also by way of a shootout.

Buffalo has still won six of its past nine in New Jersey and is hitting the road for a game after winning a 3-2 overtime decision on Friday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Luke Adam had a game-tying goal in the second period and Ryan Miller made 10 of his 22 saves in the third period. That set up Christian Ehrhoff's game- winner 39 seconds into the bonus frame on a long wrist shot through traffic.

Matt Moulson also scored, while both Ville Leino and Tyler Myers had a pair of assists as the Sabres snapped a five-game losing streak with their first win since Nov. 15 versus Toronto.

Buffalo had failed to score more than two goals in any game on its losing streak.

"I thought tonight we had a pretty solid night and also scored some goals," said forward Drew Stafford. "You're not going to win a lot of games 1-0."

The Devils didn't have a problem scoring goals on Friday night either, rolling to a 5-2 road victory over the Carolina Hurricanes. New Jersey scored four times in the third period and got 16 saves from Cory Schneider.

Andrei Loktionov tied the game at 8:43 of the third frame and Henrique potted the go-ahead tally 1:50 before Dainius Zubrus lit the lamp. That helped New Jersey snap a three-game slide and bounce back from Wednesday's 4-3 home loss to the Hurricanes.

"I liked our game right from the drop of the puck tonight," New Jersey head coach Peter DeBoer said. "I thought we had good energy, good legs. We created a lot of things."

Jaromir Jagr capped the third-period scoring with his 692nd career goal, moving him into a tie with Steve Yzerman for eighth place on the NHL's all- time list. He is also just two goals back of Mark Messier as well.

Martin Brodeur could draw the start tonight for the Devils and has gone 33-16-4 with five ties and a 2.11 goals against average in his career versus the Sabres.

Backup Jhonas Enroth may be called upon to give Miller a breather and is 1-1-0 with a 3.80 GAA in three lifetime matchups with New Jersey.
