Insight: Boyle was still slightly bent over after passing the puck around the boards so he went chin-first into the glass after Lapierre's hit from behind. The defenseman lay motionless on the ice and appeared to be unconscious for several minutes after the hit, but he managed to raise his right arm as he was being wheeled off.
