Hot12/15/2013 10:50:00 AM
Description: Vancouver winger Chris Higgins is on a five game points streak.
Insight: He's scored three goals and added four helpers during the streak. Higgins has been skating with Ryan Kesler on the second line and has fantasy value as long as he stays there or moves up to play with the Sedins. The Canucks have won all seven games this month, so don't look for them to change anything.

3/23/2013 11:10:00 AM
Description: Vancouver winger Chris Higgins is questionable for Saturday's game against Los Angeles with a back injury.
Insight: Higgins has 11 points (7 G, 4 A) in 29 games, but a -6 rating and four penalty minutes limits his fantasy value.

12/27/2011 7:01:00 PM
Description: Chris Higgins has not joined the Canucks on their three-game road trip this week, as he has a hand problem believed to be related to a staph infection on his foot from earlier this season. TSN
Insight: Higgins' hand has swollen up similar to his foot earlier this season, so he may have caught some kind of virus. If the swelling is short term, then Higgins will join the Canucks on the road trip at some point. For now, assume that he will miss Wednesday's game against San Jose.

7/1/2011 11:53:00 AM
Description: The Vancouver Canucks have re-signed forward Chris Higgins to a two-year contract worth $3.8 million. TSN
Insight: Higgins joined the Canucks as a result of a trade deadline day deal with the Florida Panthers. With Mason Raymond expected to miss the start of the season with a back injury, Higgins could start the season on the Canucks' second line alongside Ryan Kesler, provided the Canucks don't sign any other prominent free agent forwards.

5/19/2011 12:55:00 AM
Description: Chris Higgins scored a power-play goal and added two assists with a +2 in the Canucks' 7-3 win over San Jose in Game 2 on Wednesday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: The acquisitions of Higgins and Maxim Lapierre at the trade deadline seemed to fly under the radar, but both forwards have been key for the Canucks in their playoff run. Higgins, who has to be ecstatic to be out of Florida, has seven points (4g-3a) in 15 playoff games this season.

3/27/2011 7:48:00 PM
Description: Chris Higgins scored two goals and added an assist in the Canucks' 4-1 win over Columbus on Sunday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: Higgins was able to click on the Canucks' second line alongside Mason Raymond (3 assists) and Ryan Kesler (2 assists). The two goals were his first as a Canuck and his first since February 23, when he played for Florida. He is a possible waiver-wire option late in the season, but he could be bumped down to the third line when Mikael Samuelsson returns from injury.

2/28/2011 4:25:00 PM
Description: In separate trades, the Vancouver Canucks acquired forward Chris Higgins from the Florida Panthers for defenseman Evan Oberg and a third-round pick, and forward Maxim Lapierre from the Anaheim Ducks for forward Joel Perreault and a third-round pick. TSN
Insight: Both Higgins and Lapierre will likely start on the Canucks' fourth line, as the Canucks will try some new options to play alongside grinder Tanner Glass. These trades mean very little as far as fantasy implications go.

2/28/2011 12:04:00 PM
Description: The Sun-Sentinel reports that Higgins will be out for a while with a fractured thumb.
Insight: Higgins has 11 goals and 23 points for the season. (RapidDraft.com)

2/26/2011 12:06:00 PM
Description: Christopher Higgins and Rostislav Olesz were both injured during Friday's game against Atlanta. TSN USA Today
Insight: Higgins is expected to miss the next 2-3 weeks with a broken thumb, while Olesz is reportedly out for the season with a knee injury. These injuries are significant, since the sell mode Panthers won't be able to trade either player before Monday's deadline.

1/25/2011 3:06:00 PM
Description: Chris Higgins is expected to return to the Panthers' lineup on Tuesday against the Rangers. Bergen Record

12/24/2010 10:00:00 AM

12/24/2010 12:15:00 AM
Description: Chris Higgins scored two goals in the Panthers' 4-3 win over Buffalo on Thursday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: Higgins had not scored a goal in his previous 13 games. With just five goals and 11 points on the season, Higgins probably shouldn't be on your fantasy roster.

12/18/2010 11:01:00 AM
Description: Higgins picked up two assists on Friday night against Buffalo.
Insight: Higgins has three points in his last two games to give him three goals and six assists on the year. (RapidDraft.com)
