Description: Phoenix Coyotes winger Matt Lombardi has been activated from the injured reserve and is expected back on ice for Saturday's game against Edmonton.
Insight: Lombardi hasn't played in a month and hasn't been much of a factor for fantasy owners since 2009. Take a wait-and-see attitude before adding him to your roster.

Description: The Phoenix Coyotes reacquired forward Matt Lombardi from the Toronto Maple Leafs for a draft pick. Lombardi only scored 18 points in 62 games last season but had a career-high 53 with Phoenix in 2009-10.
Insight: Lombardi missed nearly the entire 2010-11 season with Nashville due to a concussion and played last season with Toronto. Now he's coming back to the Coyotes, who have a lot of question marks at forward this season after losing top playmaker Ray Whitney to Dallas.

Description: Matthew Lombardi scored a goal in the Leafs' 3-0 win over Montreal on Thursday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: Nice to see Lombardi score, after he missed nearly the entire 2010-11 season with a concussion. He is a possibility to take advantage of the Leafs' injuries up the middle, but he was eased into the lineup instead with only 11 minutes of icetime.

Description: Predators coach Barry Trotz said that Matthew Lombardi will not return this season because of a concussion. Nashville Tennessean
Insight: After being signed in the offseason to be the Preds' top-line center, Lombardi was limited to just two games this season without scoring a single point. Hopefully the speedy Lombardi will have better luck next season.

Description: Matthew Lombardi will miss at least the next four games with a concussion. Nashville Tennessean
Insight: Lombardi will be re-evaluated next Monday, so he is obviously sidelined for the one week that is recommended for concussions. Needless to say, keep Lombardi on your bench this week. Expect David Legwand and Colin Wilson to see plenty of icetime this week, as the Preds play four games this week.

Description: Matthew Lombardi wowed the team with his speed on the ice over the weekend.
Insight: GM David Poile praised Lombardi's skate speed during the team's scrimmage. Lombardi and linemate Steve Sullivan should hook up for plenty of offensive opportunities during the season, so keep your eyes on him. (RapidDraft.com)
