Insight: Stamkos set the tone with a goal in the first minute of the game. Vancouver answered, but Stamkos responded right back with his second goal about a minute after the Canucks tied the game at one. Stamkos is second in the league with five goals.

Insight: After going goalless in the first two games of the season, Stamkos recorded a hat trick before the end of the second period. He also had a +1 rating and a ridiculous 12 shots on goal, in Tampa Bay's route over Montreal.

Insight: He managed an assist in a 6-3 win, and seems to completely healthy, after suffering a broken leg last season. Assuming Stamkos stays on the ice, he should be looking at another 50-goal, 90-point season. Stamkos should go later than the third overall pick in drafts.

Insight: Stamkos came back into the game in the third period after the incident. He's a point-a-game superstar with four points in three games in this series and 40 points in 37 games during the regular season.

Insight: Stamkos missed 45 games with a broken tibia. Stamkos is one of the top players in the NHL and will be able to produce with anyone, but it certainly doesn't help that he won't have St. Louis as a linemate. He played on a line with Teddy Purcell and Alex Killorn for most of Thursday.

Insight: Stamkos missed 45 games with a broken tibia. He'll return to a changed landscape in Tampa Bay, as the Lightning traded longtime forward Martin St. Louis to the New York Rangers for Ryan Callahan on Wednesday. Stamkos is one of the top players in the NHL and will be able to produce with anyone, but it certainly doesn't help that he won't have St. Louis as a linemate.
