Description: Vancouver left wing Alex Burrows (left thumb) will miss Sunday's game, according to Elliott Pap of the Vancouver Sun.
Insight: Just when the 32-year-old was getting on the right track, he suffers an injury. He had five goals and nine points his last six games after going his first 35 games without scoring a goal. GM Mike Gillis indicated Friday that Burrows' outlook "wasn't very good."

Hot3/17/2014 10:21:00 PM
Description: Vancouver left wing Alex Burrows had two more goals and one assist Monday at Tampa Bay.
Insight: Talk about making up for lost time. The 32-year-old Burrows, a four-time 25-goal scorer, had zero goals and just five assists all season prior to March 10, but he has scored five goals and collected four assists in his last five games.

Hot3/16/2014 7:32:00 PM

Description: Canucks left wing Alex Burrows (broken jaw) is expected to return from his injury on Jan. 18 against the Flames, according to the Vancouver Sun.

Description: Canucks left wing Alex Burrows had surgery to repair a broken jaw on Monday. SOURCE: Canucks on Twitter
Insight: He's expected to miss about four weeks. Burrows hasn't added much this season (zero goals and three assists in 17 games) and probably won't be a fantasy consideration when he comes back.

11/17/2013 10:17:00 AM
Description: According to Dan Murphy of sportsnet.ca, Alexandre Burrows is expected to move back to the top line with the Sedins while Ryan Kesler centers the second line.
Insight: Unlike Kesler, Burrows does not sustain his fantasy value when he's moved off the Sedin line. He has zero goals, three assists and a -4 in nine games this season, but a bump in production could be coming.

9/14/2012 10:01:00 PM
Description: The Canucks and center Alex Burrows have agreed to terms on a new four year, $18 million contract extension.
Insight: Burrows has averaged over 29 goals per season over his last four years in the league. He should be a solid fantasy option if the lockout doesn't prevent this season from happening.
