Jets, Thorburn agree to 3-year deal

Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) - The Winnipeg Jets and forward Chris Thorburn agreed to terms on a three-year contract on Monday.

The contract has an annual average value of $1.2 million.

Thorburn, who was set to become an unrestricted free agent, tallied two goals and 11 points in 55 games for the Jets last season.

The 31-year-old has registered 36 goals, 61 assists and 656 penalty minutes in 523 games across nine NHL seasons with Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Atlanta and Winnipeg.
