Description: Kings center Anze Kopitar will play between Marian Gaborik and Justin Williams this season which could help him break into the next level.
Insight: Kopitar scored 29 goals and 70 points in 82 games last season and has scored at least 61 points in every full season. But he's only cracked 80 points one time. The addition of Gaborik might change that.

9/19/2014 9:49:00 PM
Description: Kings head coach Darryl Sutter believes that center Anze Kopitar does not get the recognition for his offensive game according to the Orange County Register.
Insight: Kopitar scored 29 goals and 70 points in 82 games last season. He also led the Stanley Cup playoffs in points. The center will certainly draw attention in standard fantasy leagues as he should go pretty early.

Hot5/6/2014 8:33:00 PM

3/30/2014 9:12:00 AM

Hot3/10/2013 10:12:00 AM
Description: Kings forward Anze Kopitar scored his eighth goal of the season on his lone SOG Saturday against the Flames.
Insight: After taking at least 230 SOG in four straight seasons, Kopitar has just 34 in 22 games this season, a pace of 127 per 82 games. However, he has still been a point-per-game player due to a 23.5 scoring percentage and 14 assists. He has 19 points in his last 17 games.

2/28/2013 11:51:00 AM
Description: Kings forward Anze Kopitar assisted on Los Angeles' first goal and later scored the game-winner in a 2-1 victory over Detroit Wednesday night.
Insight: Kopitar took four SOG in Wednesday's game, which is surprisingly more than he took in the previous three games combined. Despite averaging just 1.6 SOG per game (2.8 last season), Kopitar has six goals and 17 points in 17 games. He has attempted at least 230 SOG in the last four seasons so we expect him to start firing away in the second half.

Description: Kings forward Anze Kopitar didn't have any issues with his injured knee after making his season debut on Tuesday. SOURCE: LAKingsInsider.com
Insight: "The knee feels good. I didn't have any problems with it. I pretty much forgot I was wearing (a brace) out there." Kopitar has potential to be a point-per-game contributor and should be owned in all leagues.

1/22/2013 11:06:00 AM
Description: A Denver Post report says Kings center Anze Kopitar (knee) will return to the lineup on Tuesday versus the Colorado Avalanche.
Insight: The original injury had a 3-4 week timeframe, but he'll apparently play a lot sooner with the help of a knee brace. Kopitar had 25 goals and 51 assists last season and is obviously a must start if on the ice.

1/19/2013 12:43:00 PM
Description: Kings center Anze Kopitar (knee) skated on his own this week and has been fitted for a knee brace.
Insight: The original injury had a 3-4 week timeframe, but it is looking like he'll only miss one week of the regular season if there are no setbacks. This is good news for one of the league's top centers and fantasy owners of his linemates Dustin Penner and Justin Williams as well.

Description: Kings GM Dean Lombardi said that Anze Kopitar (knee) will only need 2-3 weeks of recovery time. SOURCE: Helene Elliot, Los Angeles Times
Insight: Kopitar's agent said this week that the forward would need 3-4 weeks but it looks like he'll be back sooner than that. He should only miss two or three games in addition to training camp, but he's been playing in Sweden and should be ready to go when his knee heals. The center has exceeded 70 points in four of the last five seasons.

1/7/2013 9:37:00 PM
Description: Kings center Anze Kopitar will be sidelined for the next 3-to-4 weeks according to his agent, Pat Brisson. Kopitar hurt his knee playing in Europe during the lockout.
Insight: The season is set to start in about a week and a half so Kopitar should miss a handful of games. Don't let that discourage you from taking him early in this year's fantasy draft, however. When he's healthy, Kopitar (25 goals, 51 assists in 2011-12) is one of the most dominant scorers in all of hockey.

Description: Kings C Anze Kopitar suffered a knee injury playing in Sweden and could miss 2-3 weeks. SOURCE: Linus Hugosson, Pro Hockey Magazine (Europe)
Insight: "Got tangled up in the corner and it felt funny," Kopitar said. "Precautionary reasons to step off. Taking this seriously." Kopitar says he'll take 2-3 weeks off and could miss the start of the regular season if the NHL and NHLPA can come to an agreement to end the lockout soon.

Description: Anze Kopitar scored a goal in the Kings' 4-1 win over Vancouver on Saturday. TSN
Insight: With the second-period goal, Kopitar snapped a 17-game goalless drought. He had taken 49 shots on goal following his previous goal, which he scored on November 22. In spite of the slump, Kopitar still has 11 goals and 35 points in 39 games.
