Description: The Blues sent Jake Allen to the minors on Saturday, leaving Jaroslav Halak and Brian Elliot as the two netminders on the team.
Insight: Allen was called up in March when Halak was struggling and went 5-0 with one shutout in his first five starts of the month. However, Halak has played better and Elliot is ready to return after being exiled for allowing 23 goals in his last 286 minutes (4.83 GAA).

Hot3/26/2013 6:12:00 PM
Description: Blues goaltender Jake Allen will start Tuesday's game against Edmonton.
Insight: This will be Allen's first appearance since March 19. He is 8-2-0 with a 2.26 GAA and .915 SV% this season but his starts will be limited with Jaroslav Halak still in the picture.

Hot3/19/2013 6:19:00 PM
Description: Blues goaltender Jake Allen will make his fourth straight start Tuesday against Vancouver.
Insight: Allen has won five straight starts and eight of nine this season while posting a 2.19 GAA and .920 SV%. The team has handed him the goaltending reigns for now in place of Jaroslav Halak while it tries to hold onto a playoff spot.

Hot3/15/2013 9:33:00 PM
Description: Blues goaltender Jake Allen will start Saturday against the Ducks.
Insight: Allen has won all four starts since being recalled and shut out Phoenix Thursday. The rookie will continue to start as long as he's winning.

3/14/2013 4:29:00 PM
Description: Blues goaltender Jake Allen, who has won three straight starts since being recalled from the minors, will start Thursday's game against the Coyotes.
Insight: Allen is 6-1-0 with a 2.63 GAA overall and he has taken over primary goaltending duties in the short-term with Jaroslav Halak slumping and Brian Elliot indefinitely parked on the bench.

3/12/2013 6:18:00 PM
Description: Jake Allen will draw another start in goal for St. Louis Tuesday against the Sharks.
Insight: Allen has won two straight starts since being recalled from the minors despite allowing three goals in both and Jaroslav Halak lost to the Ducks Sunday. We could see Allen continue to get two-thirds of the starts if he plays well again Tuesday.

3/7/2013 5:32:00 PM
Description: The Blues will start Jake Allen in goal Thursday against the Coyotes.
Insight: Allen (3-1, 2.62 GAA, .895 SV%) was recalled Wednesday after Jaroslav Halak blew a 4-1 lead Tuesday night. Brian Elliot's struggles have made it necessary to call up Allen when Halak is also having issues in net. St. Louis has allowed the fewest SOG per game so this is a favorable situation for goaltenders if anyone can take control.

2/19/2013 12:03:00 PM
Description: St. Louis backup goaltender Jake Allen will start in net for Jaroslav Halak, according to a report from Jeremy Rutherford, beat writer for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Insight: Allen has proven to be a respectable backup going 3-0-0 with a 2.76 GAA and .888 save percentage.

2/19/2013 11:58:00 AM
Description: St. Louis backup goaltender Jake Allen could another start in net if starter Jaroslav Halak isn't 100 percent. This will likely be a game-time decision.
Insight: Allen has proven to be a respectable backup going 3-0-0 with a 2.76 GAA and .888 save percentage.

2/15/2013 4:47:00 PM
Description: Jake Allen will draw another start in net for the Blues Friday against Calgary.
Insight: Jaroslav Halak is still injured and Brian Elliot has allowed 18 goals over his last four games. Allen gave up three goals on 18 shots in his first career start Wednesday night.

2/13/2013 6:12:00 PM
Description: The Blues will start Jake Allen in net Wednesday against the Red Wings.
Insight: Jaroslav Halak is still injured and Brian Elliot has allowed 18 goals over his last four games so Allen will make his first career start.
