Cardiac Cats! I like it!
I see it as the roller coaster ride on the Love Train. They are a lot of fun to watch.
Toddler10-21 Jan 21, 1:27 p.m.
Been on vacation guys. I never sit at a computer unless I'm at work. Like I said B pressure Manning (and we didn't), win the turnover battle (and we didn't), game over!! Manning did have a lot of drops.
KEEP POUNDING PANTHERS!!!
bishopdiamond5 Jan 17, 5:43 p.m.
Agree with ya about the intensity thing. Easy to let up mentally when you're rolling over your opponent. But, they did enough in the 1st half to get it done. Don't see #88 sitting very often.
StunGunn Jan 17, 4:41 p.m.
Hard to keep up the intensity with such a big lead, but time to move on to Arizona. The Panthers most likely won't be able to build such a huge lead next week, so hopefully they'll refocus and get back to work. Hope Olsen is OK - that was a viscious hit he took.
mittnfriends Jan 17, 4:33 p.m.
Sometimes you can play a spectacular games worth of football in the first half and can afford to fool around in the second.
In my opinion - Carolina's last possession of the first half set them up for their play in the second. You're up 31-0, at home, with a little over a minute left in the first half and you don't put the ball in the air even once?
Bring on the Cards!
bishopdiamond5 Jan 17, 4:27 p.m.
+1....When you get 'em down like that, keep pounding on 'em until there is no doubt it's over.
bishopdiamond5 Jan 17, 4:24 p.m.
+1.....A little clowning once in a while is OK but the talk smack forum has pretty much turned into a joke....nothing but 3rd grade stuff.
StunGunn Jan 17, 4:18 p.m.
Talk about the Cardiac Cats. Good thing they had that 31 point lead going into the second half.
CarolinaRulzACC Jan 17, 4:17 p.m.
The other threads are just too negative for me! I plan on spending the rest of the year on here!
Dreamchaser Jan 17, 4:06 p.m.
Happy New Year to you also JG. I figured that Seattle would make adjustments at the half and the 2nd half would be different. You can never count either of these 2 teams out when they play each other. I do think the Cats will hold on though.
StunGunn Jan 17, 3:04 p.m.
Happy New Year to you, my friend!!
This is the only thread I've been posting on, and if you read the others, you know why.
Watching the Panthers game. The Panthers are getting sloppy. Big mistake to play like the game is won when Seattle is making a game if it.
Dreamchaser Jan 17, 2:08 p.m.
Couldn't agree more. The other forums aren't even hardly worth looking at any longer. As far as Cam goes, I'm not sure that I've seen many players that enjoy the game as much as he does. You can see it on his face and in his actions during a game. Plus the kids in the end zone love him.
CarolinaRulzACC Jan 17, 1:39 p.m.
I am disgusted by the smack talk on the other forums!
CarolinaRulzACC Jan 17, 1:35 p.m.
CarolinaRulzACC Jan 17, 1:17 p.m.
Panthers already kicking that Sea Hawk ace!
StunGunn Jan 17, 11:17 a.m.
What a game! Rodgers throws the Hail Mary of all Hail Marys, but lost in OT.
bishopdiamond5 Jan 17, 12:01 a.m.
Footsteps Falco & the Cards pulled one out. Heck of a game by Fitzgerald. Never count the Packers out with Charles Rodgers behind center.
bishopdiamond5 Jan 16, 2:37 p.m.
Agree with ya...Seattle does seem to get lucky. I'm with the poster who posted that he can't see the Panthers losing this one. I would be shocked if it goes down like that. Panthers owe Seattle and the Cards. Panthers over Seattle.
StunGunn Jan 15, 9:37 p.m.
Thanks, B. I'm nervous about this game. Seattle was the LAST team I wanted to see The Panthers face. Other than the last play of last year's SB, Seattle always seems to have a rabbits foot up their rear ends and catch the lucky breaks, like the missed 27-yarder by Minnesota. Gotta give credit where it's due, though, RW is a very smart young man.
bishopdiamond5 Jan 15, 7:40 p.m.
Agree with ya about the Chiefs due to the Pats being banged up. I'm not gonna be surprised if KC gets it done. That Royals magic seems to have rubbed off on their neighbors. lol
bishopdiamond5 Jan 15, 7:37 p.m.
+1....Gonna be tough to cut through Seattle and Arizona but they have the tools to get it done. They're 15-1 so they're gonna catch everybody's best shot. Hope they pull it off because they deserve it.
Toddler10-21 Jan 15, 12:39 p.m.
Also Gunny Burfict hurt Bell in the earlier regular season game and jumped up and celebrated.
StunGunn Jan 15, 11:25 a.m.
And Ben and Brown are out due to the same dirty player. Sucks.
I think Seattle will be Carolina's toughest test, and I hate that they are their first opponent. To be fair, if the Panthers can't beat Seattle, they shouldn't be in the SB, but it's still hard to stomach.
Your guys got a raw deal. Gotta play who you have, but like you said, look at all those pro bowlers who will be sitting on the sidelines for the game.
I see this year after year, and I think those four pre-season games are just too much wear and tear on the players. They make money, so the greedy NFL won't give those games up, and people pay to see the stars, not the bench warmers. Just too much abuse for the body to take.
Toddler10-21 Jan 14, 6:21 p.m.
Gunny still hoping for a Steelers/Panthers matchup, but we are too banged up, Bell, Pouncey, Deanglo, Ben and Brown are all out. A lot of pro bowls between these guys. If we were to beat the Broncos Tomlin is the best coach in the league. Don't count out the Chiefs.
StunGunn Jan 14, 5:05 p.m.
lol at being misunderstood for sure.
The Panthers will face their toughest opponents in their NFC games IMHO. The "reward" for beating Seattle (and I hope they do!!) is most likely Arizona, who is a very good team. I don't see any team in the AFC posing as tough a matchup for the Panthers as their NFC opponents. If they make it to the SB, I like their chances.
Sure hope they can get it done this year. 15-1 will be a distant memory if they don't cap it off with a ring. Losing to Seattle would be an awful way to end a special season, but the Panthers should be ready and very focused and motivated.
bishopdiamond5 Jan 13, 6:39 p.m.
Yep...if Ben doesn't play, I don't see the Steelers winning. Maybe somebody should point out to Burfict that it ain't over 'til it's over. Jones is in a state of denial.
bishopdiamond5 Jan 13, 6:34 p.m.
Lynch is the kind of player who gets so wrapped up in himself that he becomes a distraction to the team. Teams don't need guys like him, imo.............I'm sure he's misunderstood. lol
Toddler10-21 Jan 13, 3:51 p.m.
Thanks Gunny and B. ben did tough it out. I don't think we have a chance with Landry Jones in Denver against the number one defense in the NFL. Ben said today if I cant throw the ball past 20 yards I'm hurting the team and I agree. Even if Brown plays he wont be much of a factor without Ben. If my boys do win it will be because of our defense and forcing turnovers.
Burfict and Jones SMH. Marvin Lewis is a good coach, but he doesn't have control of those two. Burfict made a pick and ran into the locker room like the game was over and then they fumble and give it back. Jones saying Brown is faking is unbelievable!!
Keep Pounding Panthers!!!
StunGunn Jan 13, 2:18 p.m.
For sure about their A Game.
Is Mr. "I'm just here so I don't get fined" upset? Thought it was odd he took himself out of the game last week. Thought for sure it was a team doctor's decision. I bet he's in Charlotte on Sunday. Seattle may be fine without him, but they're better with him.
bishopdiamond5 Jan 12, 8:57 p.m.
"We are the better team," Panthers safety Roman Harper said matter-of-factly Monday.
When talking about Seattle.....he should see it that way. Seattle is missing a couple of players. Something seems to be going on with Mr. Interview. Everything seems to be favoring the Panthers...still need to bring their A game.
StunGunn Jan 12, 1:19 p.m.
If only!!! :)
bishopdiamond5 Jan 12, 6:26 a.m.
Agreed, Gunny! There are no guarantees going forward because anything can happen. Survive and advance! Based on how they've played this season, in a perfect world, they win the SB. If only it were that easy...
StunGunn Jan 11, 8:20 p.m.
Vegas only has Panthers at -2.5 . I don't care if they win by 1. I just want them to win!!!! They worked too hard and accomplished too much to let their year slip away. This is their big chance: between players with looming free agency, players expecting BIG paydays (Norman), and aging players, this is THE year for the Panthers.
StunGunn Jan 11, 8:17 p.m.
bishopdiamond5 Jan 11, 6:32 p.m.
Agree with ya...I'd be surprised if the Panthers aren't ready to go. Going with the Panthers over Seattle.
He Don't Play That! Jan 11, 3:42 p.m.
It's time for Seattle to pay the piper. I'm not one for predictions, but THIS time, Carolina ends THEIR season in the playoffs.
I just refuse to believe the Panthers are gonna throw away a 15-1 season in the first playoff game at home.
Panthers BIG 45-13
StunGunn Jan 11, 7:16 a.m.
+1 Agree. Vegas and some talking heads had Washington winning this game, but I figured Rodgers would find a way to win, and he did.
Although he doesn't have all that much experience, gotta give credit to RW for what he did on that botched play when the ball ended up on the ground. He turned a mistake into a TD. Still not happy that the Panthers have to face Seattle, but hopefully they'll be prepared and remember what happened in last year's playoffs.
bishopdiamond5 Jan 11, 6:39 a.m.
Burfict needs to be suspended.
bishopdiamond5 Jan 11, 6:30 a.m.
'Skins just got outplayed by Discount Double Check & Co. They were picked last by most, had a good season under the circumstances. They need to sign Cousins, make some improvements on D. If you're gonna lose, might as well lose to one of the best.
bishopdiamond5 Jan 10, 7:56 p.m.
+1...Panthers better bring their A game.
StunGunn Jan 10, 4:10 p.m.
So Minnesota's kicker (Walsh) misses a 27-yarder, and now the Panthers have to face a very hot and confident Seattle. Not what I wanted. Not at all. I sure hope the Panthers are prepared because they're going to have to play their best game to beat Seattle.
bishopdiamond5 Jan 10, 10:44 a.m.
+1....Steelers got it done when they had to. I usually refer to him as the 'Lake Tahoe Terror', but credit to Big Ben for toughing things out and getting it done late. That's what it's all about. You can rest after the season is over.
StunGunn Jan 10, 7:45 a.m.
Heck of a game! Congrats, T. Bengals blew this one big time, but credit Big Ben for coming in after injuring his shoulder. Steelers/Broncos will be a good one!
bishopdiamond5 Jan 10, 12:11 a.m.
Thought the Steelers were playing in Philly tonight. Cincy fans are a disgrace and #24 and #55 for the Bengals need to take Discipline 101. Congrats, T!
StunGunn Jan 7, 1:53 p.m.
T -the only thing Jerry likes better than attention is control. Freak show going on in Dallas. Maybe Johnny belongs there after all.
Toddler10-21 Jan 7, 12:51 p.m.
Good backups are the young ones that grow in the system
Jerry just loves attention more than anything else. Johnny wont be in the NFL if he doesn't change and grow up. RG3 wants to be a starter and I think he can be, maybe Philly, or Houston.
mittnfriends Jan 6, 9:48 p.m.
"Do you really think RG3 and his ego will be ok with being a backup? The only time he will get into the game will be if Romo is injured".
Considering both are injury-prone, I couldn't help but laugh at this.
Third-string QB has never had better job security than in Dallas.
bishopdiamond5 Jan 6, 8:34 p.m.
No, agreed, and no. RG3 was given the keys to DC and didn't take advantage of it. He's taken a lot of heat over his inability to read defenses, stick with game plans, etc.. Anyway, it worked out for the 'Skins & Cousins has been flawless over the last several weeks. Would like to see them improve their D and their running attack needs some work. Morris and Jones are only averaging 3.7/3.4 ypc - need to get it up some. Looking forward to the game...just glad they got in. Over the last several years, seems like they're always on the bottom looking up.
bishopdiamond5 Jan 6, 8:07 p.m.
Agreed, Gunny! I've got Seattle over the Vikings too. If the Panthers get Seattle, they're going to have their hands full. Agree with ya.....the Panthers deserve better after going 15-1 but that's the way it goes.
Toddler10-21 Jan 6, 12:43 p.m.
B Do you really think RG3 and his ego will be ok with being a backup? The only time he will get into the game will be if Romo is injured. Wonder if he is happy for Cousins?
Gunny I wish we still had Cotchery. Hope D Will will be ok Saturday, but I doubt it. Ankles are tricky.
