Is this draft a prelude to a 3-4 defense

Just about every so called "draft expert" had the Panthers taking a DT in the first round and at the lowest the 2nd as it was our biggest need. So far at the end of the 4th round we have not taken one. With the addition of Kuechly, are we starting to morph over to the 3-4?

Doubt it. We don't have the skill at LB to pull it off.

They're planning on using Kuechly in the middle and Davis and Beason on the outsides. That is if Davis and Beason can actually stay healthy and finish a season.

Dont forget James Anderson, he will be starting over TD by week 3. TD's knees won't make it a full NFL season.

If the linsbackers stay healthy, they can definitely play the 3-4. Injuries has been the problems with this linebacker corp, not talent. Davis and Anderson are both pretty good LBs when healthy, Beason is a very good LB, and Kuechly will also be a very good LB and will make an instant impact. Hate that they lost Conners, but still have very good LBs.
