T- Wasn't Brown knocked out by a dirty play? I thought I saw where the punk who targeted him said he was "faking", only to find out he had a concussion. That was a shame because Brown missed the last game against the Broncos, and who knows how that would have turned out. It's one thing for a player to suffer injury, it's completely different when he's injured due to a dirty player.

So true. Saw Beason is retiring. The Giants didn't want to keep him, because he was getting up there in years (for football) and he was always injured. To your point about being healthy - when Beason was healthy, he was a Pro Bowler, but since 2010 he hasn't been healthy. Shame. I always liked him.

Not to mention Antonio Brown the best WR in football didn't play against the Broncos the second time. I was just pointing this out to JEWBABY. I saw the Vegas odds. The key to any sport is trying to stay healthy.

I give the Broncos D credit. You just mentioned a very depleated Steelers team that still fought hard. I give the Steelers credit too. And Vegas likes their chances next year.

What about the Steelers being without the Pouncey the best center in football, and their starting left tackle Beachum, Bell the best all around back in the NFL and Williams probably the best back up RB all year??? You know what give the Broncos defense some credit!!

I do apologize for the wording. What I was getting at is that Cam didn't have his #1 WR the entire season. I'm not quite sure where you're getting that 8 week number, but Gronk played 15 games in the regular season and both of the playoff games. He had 1,176 yds and 11 TD in the regular season; 227 yds, and 3 TD in the playoffs. With all due respect to Olsen, but Gronk is a next level talent that can open things up for a QB like only a select few in history could.

Yes, Brady dealt with a lot of adversity and did a great job considering. His collection of work makes him the best, but Cam was the best player this season.

No he didn't he was injured for I think it was 8 weeks. He didn't have his second receiver for I think 4 weeks. Didn't have his third for a few weeks. His o-line was swapped out all over the place due to injuries including not having his LT which might be their best linemen. He also went through 3 running backs. So no he did not have a healthy team at all. I honestly believe that if his team would have been healthy the Pats would have been in the Super Bowl.

never said it was his last Rodeo... But he needs to grow up and figure out how to be a leader. I have never in my time on this earth seen a losing QB in the Super bowl act the way he did. He is a spoiled brat.

  • mittnfriends Feb 8, 11:45 a.m.

Did Brady not have his #1 WR the whole season? Did Brady not have arguably the best TE ever to dump 144 yds on that Broncos D? Could Edleman or Amendola not have helped Carolina break into that Broncos D a little better?

  • mittnfriends Feb 8, 11:42 a.m.

You act a though this is Cam's "last rodeo". I understand getting back there is no guarantee, but Cam is 26 and is just starting to figure things out, and the organization seems able to continue putting a good team together.

That Panthers defense is what is shocking me. What a game they played against SF today.

The last time I looked, the last time he was on the field, they had the lead. Then they lost the game. Is he playing defense? There's been at least a half dozen times they've had the lead late in the game and the defense couldn't prevent losing the game.

once again scameron and the blue kitties from charlotte snatch defeat from the jaws of impending victory. Newton is horrible. Can you make more than two reads please scam?!?!?!!? you might not want to stare down Olson or Smith as that leads to interceptions (oh, wait.... too late!!!). You might want to throw it to the open guy (T. Ginn). I don't care if he has frying pans for hands: if you make the read and throw the ball it's HIS job to catch it... It's your job to throw it scameron... I know our secondary sux but, why were we so happy to go down the field and take 3 when 7 ends the game? Rivera is an !d!ot as well...
at the time of this drafting I said the kitties would regret selecting scameron and now those predicitons are starting to become reality....
even if scameron rights the ship he will be gone when his contract is up... And where will the blue kitties be? Right back where they started... LAST!!!!

In case you forget cam smashed rookie records, with a team that won two game's the year before,in his rookie year. And this year, in just week one by the way, He stuck to the game plan on a great team in Seattle and at the end we had a chance to win. I'm a panther fan who Love's are QB. He is the man! everyone will see that this year.

  • Last Word Nov 13, 2012

The Panthers are playing bad as a team: dropped passess, interceptions, bad protection, blown coverages, etc. Cant really blame the offense for allowing a 79 yd punt return, nor the special teams unit for allowing sacks. It is a team-wide problem that only seems to be getting worse. Fire Ron Rivera? who knows, Ive always felt that a great coach is only great because of the players that go out on the field and do their job and put forth great effort. Sunday after Sunday the only effort I see consistanly on the field is Kuechly. He has the drive and determination that rookies bring to the table. Its the same fire Cam had last year but obviously lost during the off-season.

Its easy to point the finger at one player that you don't like, but the Panther's losses have been a team effort. You can blame him for the losses, but I don't see any credit when he does good. Look at the Atlanta game, he brought the team back, they scored the go ahead score just for the defense to allow Atlanta to drive down the field from their own 1 yard line with a minute left and kick the winning field goal, I guess that was Cam's fault. He has made some mistakes, but if you look at their losses most of them are not his fault, you can blame the defense and coaching for 90% of the Panther's losses over the last couple of years.

  • rherring23 Oct 14, 2012

Cam is not playing good thats for sure, but its not all on him. People seem to forget that he is still very young. After last season the defenses have adjusted to him, now he has to adjust to the defenses, but thats a hard thing to do when you are getting absolutely no support. The o-line was suppose to be good this year but ever game I have seen Cam is getting pressure almost ever play he drops back to pass. He is not being given any time to read the coverage, every play he has 1 or 2 defenders in his face. All the defenses have to do is play to stop him from running because they know the pass rush is not going to give him any time to set up and look for the open man. It doesn't matter if you have receivers wide open if the qb is scrambling for his life.
Second, where is the running game. Without a running game it doesn't matter who the qb is, if the defense doesn't have to worry about the run, then the qb does not stand a chance, they can have 11 guys playing against the pass.
Finally, most of this goes back directly to the coaching. I was wondering about Riveria when they hired him. He might have been a very good defensive coach, but he is no head coach. His decisions are terrible at times and he does not get his team prepared for the games. For the most part the whole coaching staff is terrible, the play calling is terrible most of the time. They should have went with a head coach with some experience.
So no, all the blame doesn't go on Cam. Sure he needs an attitude adjustment, thats for sure, but he is still very young and immature. People expect too mush from him and he can't do it without the supporting cast around him. Look at some of the great qbs and how long it took them to win a sb. Everybody considers Manning the best qb, maybe the best ever, look how long it took him to win a sb. Manning had a great head coach, a very good running game and a very good defense, Cam doesn't have any of these things this year.

You Panthers fans have blinders on. If you watch their games, do you ever see Cam looking at the coverage photos on the sideline? Do you ever see him huddled with the other QB's trying to figure the defense out? No you don't. Do you know why? Cam is a college QB trying to make it in the NFL. He cannot read defenses or make adjustments. Lots of talent, but his mind isn't strong enough. He will be out of football by 2015. I told all of you this would happen last year. His coach and OC aren't helping either.

Not ready to give up yet, but his confidence is shot! He doesnt play loose, like he use to. Is it the media? Is it the critics (Skip Bayless #1 Cam hater) he is listening to? With his attitude, he will be benched soon. Another question, Is Olsen suppose to be his go to man? How many targets, or catches did Olsen have yesterday?
