And further more, you may be astute enough to note that I created this thread BEFORE the season started. Not three games in with a lame XZZ 5-11 prediction just begging to be mocked.

Hey brainiac, this thread was 2013 predictions at the BEGINNING of the 2013 season, not the "let me continue to change my prediction" as the season goes along. While screaming "but what if, and, what had happened was" sob story.

I suppose YOU knew Tampa would be sitting at Oh-for the season at this point? You also had Atlanta sitting here at 2-6 only having beat winless TB and 3 win St Louis? Carolina is a surprising 5-3. I just wouldn't make superbowl plans just yet. Strength of schedule? The Panthers have the weakest SOS in all of the NFL. I repeat, the panthers have played the weakest schedule in pro football! Strength of victory? Their opponents of won just 19.5% of their games a combined 8-33 record. Maybe the Panthers have gained confidence and be respectable. Hopefully. They beat some putrid teams. Great! The meat of the schedule coming up will tell the tale if the Panthers are for real. S.F., N.E., N.O. twice. If they take 3 of 4 from those guys they'll be legit. If they are only able to beat winless TB and 2 win Atlanta, not so much. Just a function of the weakest schedule in the NFL.

How convenient to make a first prediction 2 weeks into the season, and then, continue to change the prediction throughout. So now, they will go 2-6 to finish the season? HAUL Xzz Pal!

I had no idea the Falcons would be so horrible or the Bucs so putrid. The Panthers may actually take 3 out of 4 from those pitiful teams and win 7 games. 6-10 to 8-8 is the range. So I will pick the middle and now say 7-9 now.

If they can keep up the offensive production from the Giants game, then they can maybe swing their season results to above .500 but given their schedule its going to be no easy feat.

Just curious if any would like to play a friendly game of "what's it gonna be"
Lets see who can come the closest to the regular season ending record for the Panthers.

The O line is suspect but d has improved IMO. As an eternal optimist I say...

    9-7
