a) Ron went all "Riverboat" after this post was created (desperate times)
b) 5 of Panthers last 7 wins were by a TD or less (could have easily went the other way)
c) let's see what Ron does this season (will those COY skills magically disappear???)

O/P isn't what one might refer to as "bright".

LOL, the Panthers laughed at this thread all the way to the top of the NFC South.
Great call, slick.

Time to give him a raise.

You had me there for a second. But then I recognized that this is sarcasm. :-)

Looks like COY honors coming.

I think he's done OK at 11-4 so far this year. He might be able to save his job if they can pull the upset and beat Atlanta in the last game. MAYBE.
He just doesn't seem to have what it takes with the decision making and all. And it definitely doesn't look like he has the respect of the locker room. His guys just don't seem to play very hard. I agree, he just doesn't have what it takes.

He should've never been hired in the first place. You can thank our senile owner for that one.
Cam must go, too. No progression in 3 years... he is still trying to live off his athletic ability. Too many turnovers, innacurate throws, and eyeing down the primary target. He is a college QB trying to make it in a grown mans league.
Trade him now.... get whatever you can.

why give rivera the boot, its not rivera look at mike fox just rolling in denver its the team not the players the panthers are just awful and no coach can save them just like the cowboys they are awful and nobody can save them as long as jerry jones is the owner but rivera is not the problem its cam newton!

and my panther buddies giving me the downs about losing to the broncos today, we gave the broncos im quite sure alot better game than cameron newton and the panthers would have given that enough said!

Agreed. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt going in to the season and even after the loss to Seattle, because lets be honest the coach cant do much about a veteran player fumbling the ball. But something has to change, if you keep losing every close game at some point, if it hasn't already happened, the players will have that losing mentality every time the game is close in the 4th qtr. Better to nip in now and hope we can recover.

Players on the field didn't execute in crunch time...
but the playing not to lose mentality and ineffective coaching in close games has got to go -- the sooner, the better.
