saw where Logan also said Jackson is not a pro player but a great college player-I notice a lot of the espn and local guys were on Tebow when he graduated, making fun of his religion, if they did that to Jackson (which they wont) they would be called racist.

Didn't see Tudor's grades for this week, but he gave Fedora an F in week 2, and I can't argue. Steve Logan isn't too complimentary about Fedora -doesn't call him out, but criticizes their D (and I can't blame him for that!)

  • Maxwell Silver III Sep 18, 12:25 p.m.
    Towel Boy

    my mistake he gave them a B-watching the State game, I would grade in Quarters, 1st a C , 2nd a C+ 3rd an A and 4th a B- an overall B

  • Maxwell Silver III Sep 18, 12:21 p.m.

I see Prof. Tudor is grading coaches in the ACC actually big four- if I heard correctly from Steve Logan I don't think Duke gets an A -probably a B

we are tied in our ACC picks thru 3 weeks at 28-5 after going 11-0 this week-hitting about 85% I am ready to go to Vegas-lol

T - Wish I had your optimism. Carolina continued to give up big chunks of yardage, even to ODU. I don't think they'll go bowling. They have one other cupcake (Western), which they should win. UVA and Pitt are winnable, but not gimmies for the Heels.

Baylor kept shooting themselves in the foot yesterday in their game against Duke. I do like Cut, but like you and Max said, K is a different story (and he not only "thinks" he owns Duke, he DOES own it). The jury isn't in on Duke yet, but it is on Daniel Jones - he is the real deal.

  • Maxwell Silver III Sep 17, 7:51 a.m.
    Towel Boy

I like Duke football, Cut had tough mountain to climb but has done a pretty good job, if he goes 3-5 in ACC he is in a bowl would be pretty good considering all the predictions about Duke-K is a different story.

  • Toddler10-21 Sep 16, 4:26 p.m.

I think UNC will turn things around and go bowling. I can pull for any team in the area even UNC, but not Duke. Its just K all over that school. he really thinks he owns it.

  • StunGunn Sep 16, 6:51 a.m.

T - the last time the Heels played ODU, they won 80-20, WITH a mercy agreement (shortened 4th quarter with a running clock). You're right: they BETTER beat ODU. I'd hate to think of the repercussions if they don't!

Max - I thought it was a huge mistake for App State to move up, but glad I was wrong - I have a niece who graduated from there, and my nephew is a junior. I didn't like the way they pushed the head coach out, but good to see they're doing well.

  • Maxwell Silver III Sep 15, 12:17 p.m.

I say App St too, I remember when everybody was saying it was a mistake for App St to move up, looks like it was the right move.

UNC better get a win over ODU. LOL.

we are tied at 17-5 marks, I was at the State game, Marshall dialed up some schemes special for defense and decided to take J Sam out of the game, Finley got it going with Marshall up 20-10 two straight TD's to end the 2nd half, played solid D in the 2nd half and scored 2 TD's wasn't pretty but a win is a win. One receiver from Marshall was catching everything.

  • StunGunn Sep 10, 1:59 p.m.

I went 7 out of 10 - got the Syracuse, Wake and Duke games wrong.
Max - you went 8 out of 10 - got the Syracuse and Duke games wrong, but edged me with the Wake/BC game!

  • Maxwell Silver III Sep 8, 8:39 p.m.

People getting upset because of what Paul Finnbaum said- he is an SEC homer, he made the remark when Wake and GT played for the ACC champs, the ACC was a sad state of affairs when that was the best two teams-- last year ACC own the SEC and did better in bowl games and won the National Title he kept his mouth shut- he is irrelevant unless fans keep making him relevent!!!! If you listen to his show and hear some of the calls, he is just a notch above the ones that call in.

all the forums have gone too far- to many personal attacks, the games are never talks about its just continuous badgering, although do think some of those on there, that is all they got, just glad none have decided come on this forum. The State game was disappointing but I saw some positive things, Harmon, Myers and another young freshman receiver looked good, Gallaspi was dissppointing, Hines looked good, Jaylen Samuels is gonna have a great year, we will have to rely on the pass heavily this year but from what I seen that's ok, there are plenty of weapons, could be another long year on fg att, and made pct.

  • StunGunn Sep 6, 9:14 a.m.

You're so right about the forums, Max. It's a shame, because back in the day - 2011-2013, it was a lot of fun. There were some trolls, but most of the banter was creative and not mean spirited, other than one or two posters. Now, it's the same old, same old, and they can have it. I get that this is a "Smack Talk" forum, but it's been taken too far. Glad we have this, but I wish Bishop would find his way back here, and I'm glad Toddler found us.

I thought most State fans felt State let one slip away, but, they'd right the ship and have a really good season. Remains to be seen, but I think that's the case. I wish things looked better for the Heels. I did see some good things on offense, but until the defense can stop the big plays, Carolina is in trouble. I hope the guys who committed for next year don't change their minds. Steve Logan was pretty down on Carolina and optimistic about State.

I read some of the forums and the nay sayers out are out in full force, the sky is falling and all that but then I have always said the forums are dominated by negative people, of all the forums around I bet its less 25-30 people that are on them its the same people just trying to agitate and irritate - hoping will bounce back strong next two games and be ready to go to FSU.

  • Maxwell Silver III Sep 5, 11:02 a.m.

probably right but Louisville was not all that impressive, FSU may be in a little trouble when going up against good teams, Clemson looked impressive right now I'd say the Atlantic is
Clemson's to lose. If Pack can straighten out the turnovers they could possibly finish 2nd.
The coastal, 1 and 2 should be Va Tech and MIami, Ga Tech could be 3rd, Duke and Virginia at 6 and 7-UNC and Pitt fight it out for 4th.

That IS ironic, Max, and I'd love to have been wrong. Let me go out on a limb here (ha ha) Carolina will lose to L'Ville. Don't remember their next game after L'Ville, but I seem to remember it's another L. Dang.
