What should the Panthers do at quarterback?

get fox out! get bill cower in. simply as that. we will never be a powerhouse football team until that happens. anyone else agree on this ? we have a great team we need a couple of good recievers to help take the heat off steve smith a good qb then we can be a force in the nfl again. and most of all have someone making good play calls.

I agree 100%.. The teams around Jake have made him appear to be better. Think about it. With the running game and the D (as long as they aren't having to trot back on the field after a pick) if we had a top QB I believe the Panthers would have at least two superbowls by now

As long as the football stadium in Charlotte is filled to capacity with loyal fans and the cash register jingles every Sunday, why should the owners and management go to the expense of acquiring Garcia. Think about what I just wrote and you'll come to the same conclusion.

The Panthers mortgaged their future with the Peppers debacle, and won't be able to get a known quality QB any time soon. I like Jake a lot and he can talk intelligent football; unfortunately, talking hasn't translated into playing intelligent football. Steve Smith has made Jake look better than he really is for years, but now even Smitty can't catch the overthrows Jake launches at him. The players most likely to catch Jake's passes are the ones not wearing a Panthers uniform.
Unfortunately, The Panthers don't have a good replacement for Jake. They will have to ride out the season where they may not win another game. Jake aned John will be gone at the end of the season, and I hate that it's come down to this. But in the NFL (Not For Long), losing won't be tolerated. I only hope that Smitty and others don't get so discouraged and disgusted that they ask to be traded.

Fox continues to exclaim how Jake is the best QB, but I find that somehow laughable. I thought Matt Moore looked fairly decent in his starts in '07 (and record of 2-1 in three starts), and was certainly better than Mr. Mittens (Carr). But he didn't start until Fox allowed an old Vinny Testaverde to take a beating for several weeks straight. Perhaps there is some sort of friction between John Fox and Matt Moore that causes Fox to continue to march Jake out onto the field; turnover, after turnover, after 3 and out, after turnover. It doesn't make any sense to play a struggling veteran, when you could at least use the time developing a young player which could wind up being better for you in the long run. After all some players play better than they practice, and vice versa.
C'mon Fox! Start Matt Moore!

That's like replacing one problem with another, I am personally tired of the 'problems'. There are too many ethical, good athletes that would be grateful for a chance to play for us to choose a has-been convict.

exactly...... run the wildcat over and over and over again. We don't fumble nearly as much as we throw interceptions.
