But I thought Mike Holmgren was a "genius."

This one is totally disgusting. Now I see why the Panthers are in the shape they are in now. They never should have given him a new contract last summer. Simply as that. They didn't use any judgement. JD and Peppers cleaned them out over the past two years. I see this team moving on to another city one day.

I don't believe Holmgren was the Panthers' GM. That's who screwed up.

the panthers financially inept management won't be the cause of them moving, in fact it won't cause the team to relocate at all. and just thinking that makes you just as inept. the NFL franchise in Charlotte brings in way too much $$ for the city and NFL to allow a move. Now there is always the chance that the ownership may change or that the decision makers will no longer be there, which is more what Jerry needs to do right now. bring in some people who actually have a clue about what's important in pro-football in these days.

And I thought only BDF resurrected ancient threads for no apparent reason.

Wow - I was wondering if The Panthers would be responsible for Jake's salary if they dumped him and another team picked him up. That is just pizz poor planning on The Panthers' part. This is worse than the Peppers debacle - at least Julius actually played for the Panthers while he was collecting a ransom.

I would say that JAKE is the genius.
