i thing panther need to draft qb cam neoden

  • gwnunn Dec 30, 2010

A new Offensive Coordinator is what is needed. There is no future in running 45 times in an NFL game, especially with the defense the Panthers have. Quarterback is the name of the game. Look at the teams that are at the top of the league . There star is:, of course, the Quarterback. NCAA basketball, the leaders have a very good point guard, same situation.

We can all forget about Bill Cower...there is no way that we would pay him the money that he would want...we will end up getting Luck (if he come out) and a no name coach that we dont have to pay.

  • dare107 Dec 29, 2010

U will have the same thing in Luck as you have in Clausen! I agree Foxx has to go! Coward would be a catch he has a daughter in school in the Charlotte area.

I agree w most of what you said. However I am so tired of hearing this "Fox will be great with another team" and the "Fox will have a job before he is fired" BS.
John Fox, as of today, is 71-57 as a head coach in the NFL. Thats only 14 games up in 128 games. That SUCKS!!!
This misconception that he is somehow the reincarnation of Chuck Noll is a joke.
    Get him the h&ll out!

Gotta have a QB no matter who the coach is, receivers, running backs, etc. Belichic is supposedly greatest coach since Lombardi. Why, Tom Brady. He sucked in Cleveland and would be still sucking if not for Brady. Fox will be snapped up instantly, so why does he need to be replaced? He just needs a QB and a few more players on each side of the line.

Luck is good, but it takes time to develop into a QB in the pros. You could bring Vince, Gibbs, Shuler, or any of the great Coaches to Charlotte, and right now it wouldn't matter. This dismal season lies within Richardson, and his chief decision-makers.

They didn't latch onto some of the best in their last two drafts. They wasted so much on Peppers and Jake. You can't win unless you keep going for the top personnel. Spend money.

They are lucky that most seats at home are for the season ticket holders. Many have had them for 15 years now. They love to watch NFL games.

Fox is so much better than this team. He didn't forget how to coach. He took them to a Super Bowl. Heck. He knows much more now than he did then. He will succeed at another situation.

Draft Luck and get a decent free agent QB. But first, rip off Hurneys arm and BEAT Jeff Davidson out of town with it. Then shove it up Fox's hole and send the two of them packing.

This won't happen but it would be awesome if it did.

Draft Luck #1 Overall, then turn around and offer a contract to Jim Harbaugh, his coach at Stanford.

Breaking news out of Charlotte: Marty Hurney has been instructed to let the draft clock run out without actually using the first pick, so Jerry Richardson won't have to pay anyone. Hurney is also required to pay his own way to the draft, and only has a $1.50 per diem to spend on meals.

I personally feel that our problem is NOT at WR. We have one of the best in Steve Smith and I think a couple promising rookies with Gettis & LaFell. Now I will agree that we could use a guy like Mushin to kind of take some load off of the rookies but I still do not think that we are hurting at that position. The reason we dont go down field is because we arent trying. We tried one time in Falcons game to go down field and Jimmy overthrew Gettis. We dont even try and what the heck do we have to lose in trying but we dont even try to get our play maker the ball and that in my opinion has been one of the biggest problems we have.

  • morgasm3 Dec 13, 2010

Richardson's plan for drafting??? away our future high round picks for reaches in early rounds of this draft. Trading away our 1st round pick for Everette Brown was only dwarfed in stupidity by the following year's decision to trade our 2nd round pick this season for ARMANTI EDWARDS...who we could have gotten in the 7th round if we wanted to. How golden would that pick be at this point??? Ask the Lions.

Clausen can't cut it at this level.

  • jdpope3 Dec 13, 2010

I Believe that if we can keep both williams and stewart, going after the best WR would be our best option. I think Clausen may have the talent but we aren't giving him any options to throw to. All teams have to do to us is put 7 or 8 in the box and double team Smith. Not to hard to defend against us. Defense needs to be our focus for rounds 2-4. We easily have the best running back combo in the NFL we just don't have any options down the field or a defense. We will see what Richardson's plan is for drafting, with his youth movement who knows he may go after middle school students.

What do you do when you need everything?

Tried to get the Andrew Luck chant going during the game yesterday but by that time there was only Falcons fans left in the stadium. Which, thats pretty much all that was there anyway.

Right now, quarterback is the least of Carolina's worries. This whole franchise looks like garbage right now.

  • ELDIABLOS Dec 12, 2010

I just don't see Clausen as a franchise QB. He just doesn't have all the components to make it in the NFL. I realize the OL is in shambles but regardless I don't think Clausen, Pike or even Matt Moore have what it takes to lead this team out of it's current status....
