A week after the Web.com Tour win that earned him a place back on the PGA Tour, Raleigh's Chesson Hadley shot a round of 64 Friday in the John Deere Classic to sit tied for fifth headed into the weekend.
Hadley shot 69-64 through the first two rounds and headed to the clubhouse Friday afternoon with a share of the lead in Illinois.
Patrick Rogers matched Hadley's 7-under day, though, and leads the tournament at -13.
Hadley had seven birdies in his 7-under-par second-round 64, tying his career low for a round of professional golf.
