Raleigh's Chesson Hadley tied for 13th at the FedEx St. Jude Classic Sunday putting him just out of position for a U.S. Open spot.

Hadley entered the weekend tied for 66th, needing a 60 or better Official World Golf ranking to earn a trip to Pinehurst. The 26-year-old had to tie for fourth or better in order to make the U.S. Open field.

Despite missing out, Rickie Fowler tweeted that Hadley is traveling to Pinehurst for the tournament.

Hadley is currently ranked 42nd in the FedEx Cup standings. The Georgia Tech graduate won the Puerto Rico Open in March for his first PGA Tour win.
