— A rematch of last season’s NCAA Regional Final with Stanford highlights North Carolina’s non-conference women’s basketball schedule for the 2014-15 campaign.

The Tar Heels, ranked in the top-10 preseason polls by both ESPN and Sports Illustrated, will play 14 non-league contests before beginning their Atlantic Coast Conference slate in January. The home schedule features seven games: UCLA, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Albany, Appalachian State, East Tennessee State and Howard.

Carolina will continue its tradition of playing in Hawaii by taking part in the Waikiki Beach Marriott Rainbow Wahine Showdown in Honolulu Nov. 28-30. The Tar Heels will face Gonzaga, Hawaii and Stanford.

The Tar Heels also make their annual trip to Myrtle Beach for games against Maine and Elon on Dec. 19 and 21, respectively.

UNC will play at Oregon on Sunday, Nov. 23 in Eugene, before heading to Hawaii for the Thanksgiving holiday. Carolina will visit Rutgers on Dec. 4 as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

North Carolina opens the season with three-straight home contests at Carmichael Arena: Howard on Nov. 14, UCLA on Nov. 16 and Oklahoma State on Nov. 19.

Following exam break, Carolina will host Appalachian State on Dec. 14 and Oregon State on Dec. 16.

After another break for Christmas, the Tar Heels will host Albany on Dec. 30 and ETSU on Jan. 2.

UNC will host two home exhibition contests against Carson-Newman on Nov. 5 and Wingate on Nov. 9.

North Carolina returns four starters and 12 members of the 2013-14 squad that notched a 27-10 record and reached the Elite 8 of the NCAA Tournament. Head coach Sylvia Hatchell is also back for her 29th season in Chapel Hill. The owner of a 935-331 career record, 2014-15 will be Hatchell’s 40th season as a collegiate head coach.
