Rodon reportedly signs MLB contract

Former NC State pitcher Carlos Rodon has signed his Major League Baseball contract, Joh Heyman or CBS Sports reported Wednesday.
The deal is for $6.45 million with only a physical left to be taken.
The White Sox drafted the Rodon No. 3 overall, based on his draft position the lefty was slotted to sign for $5.7 million.
After signing his contract, Rodon will take his physical Thursday and is then expected to join the Winston-Salem Dash for their weekend series.
The Dash, of the Carolina League, are at the Carolina Mudcats Friday-Monday at Five County Stadium in Zebulon.
There is no official word from the White Sox at this time.
WRAL first reported Rodon was headed to Chicago to sign the contract earlier Wednesday.
