A Quick Update from NYC...
Some quick notes from NYC. Had some issues with my previous posts thanks to the cyber police and some crazy hook-up here in New York, which is way over my head.
Dennis Seidenberg will play Saturday. He had good skate Friday and will definitely be in.
Cam Ward showed no effects of his groin issue Friday. Full practice and will start against the Rangers.
Tim Gleason skated before and during practice. He had a yellow no contact sweater put made it through the whole practice. Gleason is scheduled to play Tuesday versus Montreal but could go tomorrow. My gut tells me he'll be go tomorrow.
The Canes had a spirited up tempo practice. The mood remains positive. The team is hanging on the fact that they allowed only five scoring chances in the third period. Four of those entered the net. Yes, Michael Leighton did lose his game along the way but the team stopped skating and winning many of the battles they were winning through forty. They were dominated from the hashmarks down in the defensive zone. They have refocused and know must put it on display tomorrow. That would prove that the third period was a glitch. Time will tell, tomorrow's game will provide us with some insight.
We talk to you here again on Sunday.
