Costner still mum on future plans

NC State forward Brandon Costner isn’t committing to another year with the Wolfpack. But he’s not packing his bags yet either.
Costner, a redshirt junior, is on pace to graduate on time. But after redshirting as a freshman, Costner will have an extra year of eligibility. Whether he plans to use that extra year at NC State is still very much in the air.
“I don’t want to think about it until after the season,” Costner said after NC State’s 87-59 win over North Carolina Central. “After the season, I’ll sit down with the coaches and we’ll discuss what will be best.”
To put it mildly, the Wolfpack will need Brandon Costner’s scoring next season. Costner leads the Pack in scoring this season. He, along with seniors Ben McCauley and Courtney Fells combine for 39.7 of NC State’s 71.8-point team scoring average. That’s a lot of production to replace if Costner does leave.
