DURHAM, N.C. — Luis De Los Santos pitched five strong innings Tuesday, while Jared Sandberg and Jorge Fabregas homered, as the Durham Bulls got an 8-4 victory over Richmond to complete a two-game home sweep of the Braves.
De Los Santos allowed three hits to register his first victory of the season. He did not walk or strike out any batters.
Sandberg hit his second home run of the season, a two-run shot, in the first inning.
Fabregas went 2-for-3, getting his first home run of the year in the third inning.
Jason Smith had two doubles, scored twice and knocked in a run.
Ryan Glynn (0-2) took the loss for Richmond after allowing six earned runs and five hits over three and 1/3 innings. He walked four and struck out two.
Johnny Estrada knocked in all four Richmond runs with a two-run single in the sixth inning and a two-run homer in the seventh.
The Bulls travel to Indianapolis to face the Indians on Wednesday afternoon.
