DURHAM, N.C. — Chris Truby homered and had three RBI Friday night to lead the Durham Bulls to a 9-4 victory over the Louisville Bats in an International League game at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
The Bulls are 4-0 on their current home stand and have won six straight at the DBAP.
After allowing a run in the first inning, the Bulls scored six runs over the next three innings to take a 6-1 lead.
Jason Smith and Scott Neuberger contributed to the Bulls' 14-hit effort with solo home runs. Hector Ortiz went three-for-four with a double.
Dewon Brazelton (1-1) picked up his first win of the season after pitching five innings. The right-hander allowed three earned runs and six hits, while striking out two.
Russell Branyan went three-for-five with a double for the Bats, who have lost three straight. Wilton Guerrero went two-for-five with two runs scored, and Jacob Cruz added two hits and two RBI.
Louisville's LHP Lance Davis (1-2) allowed six runs (four earned) and seven hits over three innings to take the loss.
The Bulls battle Louisville again Saturday at 7 p.m. in Durham.
