WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Chris Paul had 23 points and a career-high 12 assists to lift sixth-ranked Wake Forest past Number-14 Texas 89-to-88.
Eric Williams added 19 points for the Demon Deacons, who held on when Kenton Paulino missed an 18-foot jumper just before the buzzer to win it.
PJ Tucker had 27 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Longhorns, while Brad Buckner finished with 17 points.
This was a rematch of a game won by Texas 94-to-81 last year.
