RALEIGH, N.C. — Wolfpack junior running back T.A. McLendon has announced that he will not return for his senior season, but will instead enter the NFL draft.
"I have enjoyed my time at N.C. State and have a great relationship with Coach Amato and the other coaches," McLendon said. "But I have a family to take care of and I've decided that it is time for me to start thinking about my future."
"We certainly wish T.A. the best," said Wolfpack head coach Chuck Amato. "He is a very talented player and we hope he has great success."
The Albemarle, N.C., native rushed for 33 touchdowns in his three years at N.C. State, the third-best mark in school history. He scored 35 total touchdowns, which also ranks third among all-time Wolfpack players.
McLendon finished his collegiate career with 2,479 yards, the eighth-best mark in school history.
