RALEIGH, N.C. — When Julius Hodge decided to return for his senior year at North Carolina State, some believed that he should have left school at the end of his junior year. At the recent NBA Draft, he was rewarded for his perserverance.
The Denver Nuggets selected Hodge at No. 20 in the first round.
Hodge said he feels he's ready to make his mark in in the NBA.
"It's a great opportunity. I'm definitely looking forward to the challenge.
Hodge said he told the Denver Nuggets that he can play point-wing if needed.
The former N.C. State star will play for former Tar Heel, Denver coach George Karl.
