UNC Seeks Payback in Round 2 of Backyard Brawl
Feb 21, 2007
Raleigh, N.C. — Earlier in February, the Wolfpack upset the Tar Heels in Raleigh. Tonight, North Carolina is looking for payback.
N.C. State defeated the Tar Heels 83-79 on Feb. 3. Some fans stormed the floor of the RBC Center in Raleigh. while others swarmed Hillsborough Street.
UNC is the highest-ranked team a first-year Wolfpack coach has ever beaten, and fans are pleased with the job coach Sidney Lowe is doing.
"He's really brought the pride back to the Pack. We're going to do really well from now on," said student Greg Milton.
The Wolfpack now travels to the Dean Dome in Chapel Hill, where the Tar Heels have won 11 of its last 14 games against N.C. State. A win would give the Wolfpack its first regular season sweep over Carolina since the 2002-03 season.
You can watch the game starting at 9 p.m. on WRAL-TV. WRAL.com will have post-game press conferences for both teams available shortly after the game.Copyright 2010 by Capitol Broadcasting Company. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
