Miami Upsets Maryland To Move On To ACC Quarterfinals

Miami arrived in Tampa knowing they had to win the ACC Tournament to punch their ticket for the NCAA’s – they took the first step toward achieving that goal with a huge 67-62 win over possibly the hottest team in the nation in the Maryland Terrapins.
Despite letting a 13 point halftime lead get down to one, the Hurricanes will move on to face Boston College in the Quarterfinals behind 17 points from Jack McClinton and an inspired performance off the bench from Jimmy Graham, who added nine points, seven rebounds and five blocks on the interior.
Maryland was led by Mike Jones with 15 points and James Gist added twelve points and eight rebounds in the losing effort for Maryland.
