Raleigh, N.C. — The UNC's women's basketball team plays Tuesday night for a spot in the Final Four.
The top-seeded Tar Heels (33-3) will face the second-seeded Purdue Boilermakers in the Dallas regional. The winner goes to Cleveland for the Final Four and will face the winner of the Tennessee-Mississippi game.
"We're happy to be where we are, but we know we have our work cut out for us," UNC coach Sylvia Hatchell said after the team's 70-56 win over George Washington on Sunday.
UNC is hoping history repeats itself. The Tar Heel women beat Purdue last year in the tournament. However, North Carolina reached the Final Four last year and in 2005, but has been ousted by the eventual national champion two years in a row.
Tuesday's game tips off at 9:30 p.m.
