Yow to Receive 2007 Naismith Contributor Award

Atlanta — NC State women's basketball coach Kay Yow has been named to receive the women’s Naismith Outstanding Contribution Award for college basketball for 2007.
The award “honors those individuals who have had a positive impact on the game of basketball. The Club honors those pioneers who have helped create the foundation for the game of basketball as we know it today.”
Bob Knight of Texas Tech was selected as the men's recipient.
Yow and Knight be recognized at the club’s annual banquet next Thursday.
