Durham, N.C. — Player of the year Matt Danowski scored two goals and had four assists Friday in the opening round of the 2007 ACC men's lacrosse tournament, leading the Duke Blue Devils to a 13-9 win over rival UNC.

No. 1 Duke advances in the tournament and will play Virginia for the championship title Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in Durham.

In the women's match, the UNC Tar Heels defeated Duke 12-11. UNC will play Virginia Sunday at 1 p.m. in Chapel Hill.
