Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng has won the N-B-A's sportsmanship award.
Deng's 52 first-place votes were 22 more than runner-up Shane Battier of Houston.
Deng is closing out the best of his three seasons in the N-B-A. He's averaging 18-point-eight points and seven-point-one rebounds, and has been even better in helping the Bulls sweep defending champion Miami in the first round. Deng averaged 26-point-three points and nine boards against the Heat. The Bulls face Detroit in the second round beginning with Game One on Saturday.
The sportsmanship award honors the player who best exemplifies ethical behavior, fair play and integrity on the court. The winner receives the Joe Dumars Trophy, named after the Detroit Pistons Hall of Fame guard, who is currently their president of basketball operations and was the inaugural recipient.
