Ex-Pack Star McLendon Arrested on Drug Charges
By Dane Huffman Sep 12, 2007
Albemarle, N.C. — Former North Carolina State University running back T.A. McLendon was arrested Monday in his hometown of Albemarle on drug charges, authorities said.
McLendon was pulled over on Summit Avenue near Wall Street at at about 1:50 p.m. Monday on a traffic stop, and police found marijuana in his car, said Maj. Ted Smith, of the Albemarle Police Department.
He has been charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver drugs and maintaining a vehicle to keep a controlled substance. He was released on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 8.
McLendon, 24, was a star tailback at Albemarle High School and later had a successful career at N.C. State before leaving early for the NFL. He failed to make an NFL roster, however, and returned to his hometown, where he is often seen in the community. Smith said he had recently seen McLendon at an Albemarle High football game.
He rushed for 9,004 yards and 170 touchdowns in his career at Albemarle High and was the Atlantic Coast Conference rookie of the year in 2002. Injuries slowed his career at N.C. State, however, and he had 770 yards on 167 careers as a junior before turning pro.

Whoa - many could not "purue" it. I am impressed. Sounds like the comment may have hit a bit close to the bong, if hit is the correct word. And try using standard English sentence structure and punctuation - it may help you in your career, whatever that might be. Not much call for stoney baloneys these days, dude, the 60s are totally over, man...
if you're speaking to me pomo, i have obtained a technical degree in college that many could not purue, and have held a lucrative job for over a decade. stop your judgemental, and innaccurate assumptions. square loser.
Wow - the dopers are out in force. We have lost the drug war, and based on the responses here, the grammar and spelling wars as well. Back away from the bong, pick up a dictionary. Oh, right, this thread is just about dead. Good. Enjoy your drug-addled lives, losers.
"1 more worthless druggie from getting another kid hooked on drugs."
