N.C. State begins a tough three-game stretch Friday when Davidson arrives at the RBC Center in a nonconference game.
State is home to Cincinnati on Sunday and at Seton Hall on Dec. 27.
“The next three ballgames really will tell a lot about how we handle it, how we play, especially if we win them,” Lowe said. “But how do we play? This game tomorrow, do we come out of the gate with energy and focus?”
Lowe would also like to see more State fans at the game. The Wolfpack has averaged only 12,651 fans in three home games. Tickets were still available Thursday afternoon.
“Sure, I’d love to see a bigger crowd,” Lowe said. “If we were at Reynolds, it’d be packed. But I appreciate the people who are there.”
State played at 12,400-seat Reynolds Coliseum before moving to the RBC Center. But while Lowe “Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely” would like to play at least a game a year in Reynolds, he understands why games are scheduled for the RBC Center.
“So it’s the RBC Center. And it’s a beautiful building. It is,” Lowe said. “When we get 12,000, 11,000, whatever it is, they yell for us. They scream for us. That’s the bottom line.”
State will have one addition Friday. Sophomore guard Marques Johnson, a 6-foot-5 transfer from Tennessee, is eligible to play.
Johnson will compete for minutes at point guard, where State has used Farnold Degand and Javier Gonzalez.
