Get the State-Carolina Scoop From Our Student Correspondents
Jan 12, 2008
When N.C. State (11-3, 0-0) takes on top-ranked North Carolina (16-0, 1-0) at noon this Saturday in their conference opener, they will do so as the heavy underdogs.
The Wolfpack has been struggling with their outside shooting and a recent visit from the injury bug, leading many to think Carolina will beat the Pack handily on their home court.
However, Carolina has looked anything but invincible lately, calling upon the heroics of Wayne Ellington to escape Clemson's Littlejohn Coliseum with their perfect record intact and failing to pull away from UNC-Asheville in their most recent home contest.
WRAL.com has all the angles covered, starting today with our correspondents' thoughts about what State and Carolina have to do to give their respective teams a chance to win. And listen in as two of our correspondents, J. Mike Blake from N.C. State and Gregg Found from North Carolina, discuss the game with WRAL's Tom Suiter.
Blake has written extensively for The Technician in addition to his role at WRAL.com, and Found is a Daily Tar Heel veteran. Blake will be a part of WRAL's extensive coverage Saturday.
Stay tuned Saturday for unedited pregame press conferences and full coverage on game day, including video highlights, postgame interviews from both locker rooms, analysis and still photos.

"This Wolfpack team is the WORST, talented team I have ever watched. This is the second loss this year that they have just given up on."
They are the WORST! But they didn't give up. State scored 49 second half points. I was actually glad to see them not give up!
"TBK.."State by 10+"...lay off the bloody mary's."
I was just having some kicks, before the disaster!
This Wolfpack team is the WORST, talented team I have ever watched. This is the second loss this year that they have just given up on. Time to look for a new coach in my opinion! Let's not drag this out, it'll take longer to recover.
Pretty close game until the pregame show.....
ATC: You might be right!! Looks ugly so far...
