That’s what Tom Suiter and Jeff Gravley had to say about N.C. State’s performance Saturday at North Carolina.

“Imagine what Peter Laviolette would say about them if he had them in the press conference,” Gravley said on this week’s edition of "Unscripted," WRAL's weekly web chat.

“Something is wrong at State,” Suiter said. “I’m not sure what it is, but something is wrong. Brandon Costner, who last March could have been the ACC Tournament most valuable player, gets four shots in the game.”

Suiter wondered why State had three weak games going into the game at UNC. And Gravley questioned whether the Wolfpack's Javier Gonzalez “is an ACC point guard right now.”

That, Gravley said, could be a reason Costner isn’t getting the shots he needed.

“There has to be some kind of chemistry issue,” Suiter said.

Gravley said – for the third straight week – that the Wolfpack is an NIT team.

This week, Suiter was more inclined to agree.

if state is to have a chance tonight they are going to have to let their bigger guys bring the ball up so if clemson traps they can dish off to the guards. gonzalez can not handle their pressure. they may trap better than the heels.

Even WITH good chemistry, State would be struggling due to a lack of a great point guard.

I'm as bigga State fan as there is. But this is not just one loss. State has played miserably all year, and embarrassed themselves in some losses and even a few of the wins. If I thought they were really trying and doing the best they can, I wouldn't talk like this about them. State can do better. They have ego and chemistry problems holding them back. It's long overdue for them to get over that and finally play up to their potential.

It's that stupid red sports coat!
