Virginia Tech freshman Jeff Allen has been suspended for two games for "inappropriate contact "with an official Saturday at Georgia Tech, ACC commissioner John Swofford announced Sunday.

Swofford suspended Allen for deliberately making contact with official Zelton Steed with 4:32 left to play in the Hokies 81-70 loss to the Yellow Jackets. A

Allen will be suspended for Thursday's home game with Duke and Saturday's game at Boston College.

He's just got his fourth foul, the TV cameras and the crowd are watching him to see if the coach sits him down for a couple of minutes, and he walks over to the ref and intentionally gives him a glancing blow with his elbow... This kid has got a great future outside of basketball, what with his clear and sensible thought process. I applaud the ACC for suspending him and beleive the punishment was correct. Maybe this thug image will slow down just a tad... (probably not)...

I think 10 games would have been appropriate.
