Despite Javi Gonzalez's performance in the 79-77 overtime win over Miami on Saturday, coach Sidney Lowe plans to keep sophomore Marques Johnson in the starting lineup when State plays Georgia Tech Wednesday at the RBC Center.
Gonzalez hit two crucial 3-pointers and added three assists and two steals in the game.
However, Johnson will make his third consecutive start against Georgia Tech on Wednesday. Gonzalez played 27 minutes for the Pack, including the full duration of the overtime period, agaijnst Clemson.
"He's not in the starting lineup yet. It's just another ball game for us and again, it's about who finishes a game," Lowe said Monday. "Sometimes your finishers don't become your starters. We'll just have to see who's going at that time and what group is going well at that time."
