The Carolina Hurricanes recalled goaltender John Grahame from Albany Monday and re-assigned goaltender Michael Leighton to their AHL affliate.
Grahame, 32, was assigned to the River Rats Jan. 4 after clearing waivers. In seven games in Albany, he has posted a 4-3-0 record, with a 3.04 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage. Grahame played in 13 NHL games with Carolina this season prior to his assignment to Albany, earning a 4-6-1 record, a 3.83 goals-against average and an .875 save percentage. T
Leighton, 26, has played in three games with the Hurricanes since being recalled Jan. 3, posting a 1-1-0 record, a 2.66 goals-against average and an .897 save percentage.
