Earnhardt Jr. Meets Media Today

The NASCAR media tour converged on Hendrick Motorsports Wednesday afternoon and WRAL-TV will have complete coverage tonight at 6 p.m. with Ken Medlin reporting live from Concord.

We’ll also put highlights and fresh information on the website as the day unfolds.

It’s the first major press conference for Dale Earnhardt Jr. as a member of the Hendrick team. He’s joining a stellar group that also includes Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon and Casey Mears.

For the popular Earnhardt, it’s a chance to crank up his career after he finished a disappointing 16th in 2007. He failed to win a race last year and finished in the top five seven times.

Will this year be better? Earnhardt will address that today.
