M GOLF: Duke Ranked 12th In Latest Coaches' Poll

DURHAM, N.C. -- The Duke University men’s golf team is ranked 12th in the initial Golf World/Nike Golf Division I Coaches’ Poll of the spring season. Georgia remains in the top spot, earning 13 of the 23 first-place votes, followed by Charlotte at number two. Alabama, UCLA, and Oklahoma State round out the top five.

Tennessee made the biggest jump in the poll, moving from number 23 in the final poll of the fall season to their current spot at number 11.

Duke returns to action next weekend at the Puerto Rico Classic (Feb. 29-March 2). The Blue Devils finished tied for sixth at the SunTrust Gator Invitational (Feb. 9-10) in their first tournament of the spring.

Senior Michael Schachner shot a seven-under 203 at the event to claim a share of the individual title.
