BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — With The Duke Victory:
* Improved the overall record to 20-7, 9-3 in the ACC.
* Moved the overall series record to 11-2 and has won nine straight against Virginia Tech.
* Won its 20th game of the season, marking the 11th straight 20-win campaign. The Blue Devils have also won 20 games in 13 out of the last 14 years.
* Joanne P. McCallie registered her 12th 20-win season and fifth straight as a head coach.
* Won 94 out of the last 102 and 23 out of the last 26 ACC regular season contests Senior Wanisha Smith
* Made her 111th career start, moving her into sole possession of sixth place on Duke's all-time chart.
* Hit 4-of-8 field goals and finished with eight points.
Junior Chante Black
* Collected 20+ points for the second time this season and career.
* Totaled 20 points, five rebounds, four steals and one assist in 28 minutes played.
Junior Abby Waner
* With her two three-pointers in the game, moved into fourth place on Duke's all-time three-pointers made list with 160.
* Finished the game with six points, five assists and three steals.
Sophomore Joy Cheek
* Broke a streak of four straight games with 10+ points as she finished with five points and four rebounds in 18 minutes.
* Made her 16th career start.
Junior Carrem Gay
* Registered double-figure scoring in the first half with 10 points, marking the sixth time this season she has posted 10+ points.
* Notched 13 points, five rebounds and five steals in 25 minutes.
* Hit 5-of-5 field goals.
Sophomore Keturah Jackson
* Registered double-figure scoring for the second straight game and second time this season. Has posted 10+ points in three games during her career.
* Collected a career-high 12 points to go along with four rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes.
* Hit 5-of-6 field goals in the game.
Other Duke Notes:
* Opened the game with its 11th different starting lineup of the season with Joy Cheek replacing Carrem Gay in the starting five.
* Hit 49.2 percent from the field for the third time out of the last four games.
* Held Virginia Tech to a season-low 20 points in the first half.
* Totaled a 42-26 points in the paint advantage.
* Collected 25 points off turnovers and a 21-11 lead in second chance points.
* Bounced back on the boards with a 33-26 lead.
* Led 11-10 at the 15:21 mark and then went on a 19-5 run over the next 8:31 - Carrem Gay scored eight of her first half 10 points in the run. VT was held to two field goals over the last 13:23.
* Nine of the 11 Blue Devils who played scored in the contest.
* Forced 25 Virginia Tech turnovers marking the 21st time this season a Blue Devil opponent has turned the ball over 20 or more times. Forced 20+ turnovers in eight straight games.
* Duke will next host Virginia on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 12:30 p.m. The contest will be aired by RAYCOM Sports and will mark senior day for Wanisha Smith and Emily Waner.
