Shaw, the defending CIAA football champion, will return to Durham for second season in a schedule released Wednesday.
Shaw opens Aug. 30 at Albany State in Albany, Georgia. Shaw plays at CIAA rival St. Augustine's on Oct. 4.
“The team and coaching staff are all excited about the new season," coach Darrell Asberry said in a statement. "A couple of quality teams have been added to the schedule including Texas Southern University and Lincoln University, showing the level of advancement in our program.
"We will play in the Capital City Classic against Texas Southern in Sacramento, Calif., which is an excellent opportunity for us that will provide increased exposure to our program and serve in a dual role for recruiting.”
